Battlebit Remastered Assault Class guide

The standard fit for the Assault class in Battlebit Remastered.

Not all classes in Battlebit are created equal, so let’s have ourselves a look at the Assault class and what makes it tick.

Any team-based FPS needs a frontliner. The guy that is out there in front doing his best not to die while taking down enemies left and right. And the Assault class in Battlebit Remastered is exactly that. A class focused on close gunfights where his additional stats can truly shine, the Assault feels right at home in the thick of it. So let’s take a look at what makes this class truly shine and how to best make use of it.

Battlebit Assault Loadout

An ideal starting fit for an AK74 for the Assault class.

The Assault class is rather limited when it comes to weapons, being able to use AR’s and pistols only. But since there are currently 12 AR’s in the game with plenty more to come, you do have plenty of options at your disposal. At first, you can choose between the AK74 and the M4, and this choice all depends on how well you can handle recoil. If you are used to handling it in other FPS games, then definitely go for the AK74 and never look back.

As far as armor goes, you should probably opt for the heavier options that offer the most durability since you’ll be playing a rather aggressive role. The assault is the only class that can equip a Riot Shield, enabling you to push a chokepoint while giving friendlies behind you some solid cover to advance. You also get the M320 Smoke Grenade Launcher the fastest out of all the classes that can attain it, allowing you to lay down some smoke for your troops to advance behind.

The Assault class is also the only class that receives a bonus when wielding Assault Rifles. You will get a 25% boost to reload speed, 20% faster ADS, and 25% faster weapon swapping. You are the only class alongside the Recon that can use a Grappling Hook, allowing you to reach high places faster.

A weird spot

Compared to the other classes, Assault finds itself in a pretty weird state at the moment. While it does offer some bonuses that might seem enticing for people that like to run and gun, the limited weapon availability is kind of weird. A medic wielding an SMG can outperform your average Assault player while also being able to heal himself and others. This is why understanding how to use Assault best can prove tricky to newcomers.

My best advice is to focus on what is available to you. Use the Grappling Hook whenever you can and create new spots through which friendlies can advance or get a better position. Even though the Riot Shield is locked behind reaching level 100, a whole new world opens up for the class once you do. You can actually make a difference in a serious firefight by pushing flanks and offering teammates some much-needed cover when advancing.

Overall, the Assault class might feel a bit underwhelming when compared to the other classes. It definitely needs a bit of loving in order to be a viable option. We’ll have to wait and see if this will be done by buffing it or by nerfing other classes.
